Our Story

Solfiskur: meaning 'sunfish' in Icelandic features Salmon & Cod fish leather sourced directly from a small tannery in North Iceland. A unique eco-friendly material it's crafted using 100% geothermal energy during the month-long tanning process.

Historically fish leather was used for centuries by Vikings as a versatile resource. Used on many items like sword hilts, knife sheathes and weather-proof shoes and clothes.

This century, we hope you enjoy holding a piece of that Viking heritage in these designs.
